Prep Network announces hire of Spencer Pulliam, launch of Prep Hoops Next

Prep Network bolstered their already expansive youth basketball coverage this week with the addition of Spencer Pulliam to the team to lead the newly-launched project, Prep Hoops Next.

Prep Hoops Next will be a website and event platform geared toward providing the highest-quality basketball experience for middle school boys. The website will feature national rankings, player profiles, event coverage, and more. The tournaments, taking place in all regions of the country, will incorporate Prep Network’s elite standard of quality while providing unrivaled exposure in the youth age groups.

Pulliam will lead the operation, focusing on developing industry-leading content and event infrastructure of the highest quality.

“Spencer has been one of the most respected people in the youth basketball scene for more than a decade, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him join the Prep Hoops team,” Prep Network CEO Jake Phillips said. “Spencer’s knowledge, paired with the Prep Hoops digital platform and operational excellence, will provide first-rate coverage and events for an even wider range of players across the country.”

Since 2005, Spencer has evaluated much of the nation’s elite youth basketball talent, and established a reputation for accurately projecting players at the highest level. In addition to running his own NCAA-compliant scouting/recruiting service, he actively serves in a variety of leadership and volunteer roles for several prestigious grassroots basketball organizations and brands.

“I’ve admired the innovative leadership and continued growth of Prep Network for many years,” Pulliam said. “I am extremely humbled to join an organization that puts players first and delivers a platform that is second to none when it comes to providing opportunities for young men and women to achieve their goals through basketball.”

Spencer and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Greensboro, North Carolina with their daughter.
